Len Duvall
I am the Labour London Assembly Member for Greenwich & Lewisham and have represented these two boroughs on the Assembly for the past 8 years. I am also Leader of the Labour Group at the London Assembly and Chair of the London Labour Party.
The GLA provides a vision and a voice for London and plans its future. It looks at the big issues affecting our city, like transport, police and strategic planning. The London Assembly – which together with the Mayor of London forms the GLA - has an important role in holding the Mayor to account and investigating matters of concern and interest to Londoners.
On this site you will be able to see some of the work that I do on the Assembly Committees, understand my roles and responsibilities at the GLA and view my press releases and campaigns.
I receive a healthy postbag from constituents and take up a lot of casework and issues for residents if they are raised with me. I work with individual Members of Parliament on GLA related matters or where my help has been requested. I have regular dealings with the Leader of Greenwich, the Mayor of Lewisham and local councillors in both boroughs.
London is a thriving and vibrant city of almost 8 million people, so I see my job as ensuring that your voice is heard loud and clear where it matters most – at the heart of London government. I think it’s important to know what local residents think on issues such as crime, housing and transport, so to help me understand your concerns better and make your voice count please do get in touch in your views.
